Two charming Italian
farmhouses, Tra Vigne and
L'Olivetta, beautifully restored, in the lovely grape and
olive-covered Sabine hills of Central Italy. Singly or
together, they can accommodate several families and are
perfect for a country retreat. The houses are located on
a ridge within 100 meters of each other, just outside of
Montebuono, a summer refuge since Roman times. The houses
are five minutes from Calvi dell’Umbria,  just
over an hour from Rome and within two and a half hours of
Florence and Siena. Swimming and athletic facilities are
within a quarter mile. Both houses are completely furnished with Italian country furniture, with beautiful hand-painted Italian tiles in the modern kitchens and baths. Tra Vigne also contains an extensive library of English language books on Italy. Both houses were restored by Valentini Restorers of Rome to the design of Ellen Jawdat, M. Arch. Harvard.
